Dine Out 2012 - Prestons

My last Dine Out this year is at Prestons at Coast Coal Harbour Hotel. I've been meaning to try out this place for a while now so was very excited to go last night.


 I thought it was a small place but there is additional dining area inside. The wall changes colours!

 Prestons can accommodate big parties too. They have a long table just for the occasion.

Prawn Gyoza and Seared Scallops
Show your waiter that you follow Prestons on Twitter and you can either get a free starter or dessert! We opted to try the prawn gyoza and seared scallops. Yummy! Someone else at another table ordered Yam Fries and those looked very delicious too.

Chicken Karaage - Garlic Sake Marinated Chicken, Flash Fried,
served with Spicy Sambal Lime Aioli and Miso Cabbage Slaw
K and I ordered the same things today, starting with the Chicken Karaage which one of our friends recommended. It was pretty good!


Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs -
Sweet Hoisin & Ginger Glazed Pork Ribs, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Crunchy Coleslaw
These ribs were fall off the bone delicious! The potatoes were very good as well. I wasn't too fond of the coleslaw though since there was already slaw in the appetizer.
 

To clean our fingers after having the ribs, they gave us a small tablet pill and some warm water. Watch as we drop it in the water:


It's fascinating to watch. LOL

Chocolate Sundae - Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Raspberry Coulis, Warm Chocolate Sauce 
 Dessert was THE BEST. Moist brownie, vanilla ice cream with the specks - not the fake one, chocolate drizzle. It's a swirl of sweet sweet heaven in my mouth. *drools*

Chocolate Sundae - Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Raspberry Coulis, Warm Chocolate Sauce 
It is so delicious it deserves another photo. OMG just looking at it again makes my mouth water. If nothing else you have to try this. I'd say it rivals my favourite Cactus Club's Apple Galette!

Dine Out Vancouver is on until the end of this weekend but Prestons has extended their Dine Out menu to February 13th!
