I finally got up early enough on a Saturday to go the the Farmers Market that takes place every Saturday from 10am-2pm at Nat Bailey Stadium. I arrived just before noon when the market was about to announce the fundraising launch of their new Market Kitchen program.

Market Kitchen is an on-site cooking and demonstration area where local chefs will prepare inspired creations using in-season ingredients available at that day’s market. They are currently needing donations to get it going. Donations of cooking items are also acceptable including cutting boards, cook tops, utensils, pans, pantry items, a sink or a fridge. Donations are accepted at the market or at http://www.eatlocal.org/



There's an amazing line up of chefs going to be at the Market Kitchen. lol Chef Lynn Crawford added herself in as a sous-chef to Chef Ned Bell during the announcement.

After watching the announcement, I walked around the rest of the market to see what kind of goodies I can buy.

 The purebread stall had a massive line up and apparently it's like this every week!
