A reminder that Burnaby Village Museum has free gate admission until Sept 3rd. They are also holding 2:00pm tours for $2 on Saturday and Sundays.

Held on the first Saturday of every June, Hats Off Day is when Burnaby Heights merchants “take their hats off” to their community and their customers, and the entire Heights community celebrates together. It’s a huge, one-day extravaganza featuring a colourful main-street style parade with real local flavor, followed by a big street party.  The parade will start at 9 a.m. and run along Hastings Street from Beta Avenue to Boundary Road. Then the street festival will kick off at 11 a.m. with lots of music, food, kids activities and more on Hastings Street from Boundary Road to Gamma Avenue.
