Another restaurant I visited while in California was Sushi Monster in Belmont.  There are relatively few sushi restaurants in the area and Sushi Monster is pretty popular for that reason. It is a small restaurant run by Koreans and it is fairly busy during lunchtime which was when I went.



Sushi Monster has a lot of creative rolls on their menu. I wanted to order them all but I decided to go with the Godzilla roll - Shrimp tempura topped with avocado, eel, tobiko, sauce & seeds.


I was so disappointed that my Godzilla roll did not have eyes and the cucumber frill was replaced by plastic. =( But after I got past the aesthetic disappointment and ate it, I loved it. Very delicious!

Great place to go for a quick lunch.
