Every day from 4 to 6pm, Joe Fortes holds Happy Hour, which means $1 oysters and 50% off all items on the bar menu! You have to sit at the bar to take advantage of this deal so K and I went right at 4pm on a Saturday. But we didn't really need to since the bar around the oyster shucking station and the bar upstairs were empty (though they started to fill up at a steady rate).

This wasn't suppose to be a dinner, just a snack so we didn't order that many things. 20 local beach oysters off Denman Island. Yummy! I love eating oysters at Joe Fortes, they are always fresh and shucked cleanly!

We had a hard time picking what we wanted from the menu since everything sounded delicious, but ended up choosing the calamari taking the suggestion of our server. They are steak calamari and mmmm. Mmmmm. Mmmm. Crispy on the outside and so yummy on the inside.

I like the fact that Joe Fortes' happy hour is on every day of the week. People who don't work downtown during the weekdays, like me, can take advantage of their specials! Hurray! Next time, I plan to order Joe's Shrimp Ceviche. The couple next to us ordered that and I was so jealous. It looked amazing!
