Ah fall in Montreal is a beautiful thing. The last park we visited was Parc La Fontaine. It was full of beautiful fall coloured trees surrounding a picturesque lake. To my delight there were a lot of curious squirrels around. I was surprised to see white coloured squirrels around! Be prepared for the bombard of squirrely cuteness below. I can't stop taking pictures of them! W had to practically drag me away. I'm pretty sure she was taking pictures of me taking pictures of the squirrels.

Montreal smoked meat. I always hear how good it is and everyone always requests people who visit Montreal to bring some back. So of course we were obligated to visit Schwartz's. Schwartz's is a Hebew Delicatessen established way back in 1928 by Reuben Schwartz. This place is now always full of tourists (like me!).

W and I ordered the lean smoked meat sandwich with a side order of salad.

The slaw was more sweet than sour. I liked it.

The sandwich was stuffed full of Montreal smoked meat with some mustard slathered on the bread. I don't know why it's so good. It's yummy for sure but I didn't find it to be anything special. Maybe I should have ordered the fatty instead of the lean cut instead. I was told when I came home that that was the way to go!

I had requests to bring some back home so I went next door where they sell the prepackaged Montreal smoked meat in bulk.
