Kao Tong Tong Presents An agricultural event The Best of Kaohsiung

Join us in a weekend of festivities showcasing Kao Tong Tong, and the Best of Kaohsiung produce.We are excited to be bringing in a selection of premium boutique goodness: Pearl Guava, Chin Huang Mango, Golden Diamond Pineapple, Red Dragon Fruit, and Yu Her Pau Lychee. Local specialty retailers collaborated to incorporate the Best of Kaohsiung produce in their creations. The delicious creations will all be available for sell on both days for your enjoyment. JuiceTalks Beverage & Co, Mom’s Grill Cheese Truck, Oollo Tea, Patisserie LeBeau, Vegan Pudding & Co Zia’s CafĂ© and Grill Kao Tong Tong.

Open Doors Richmond 2015 Kickoff Event

Join us on Friday, June 5 from 4:30 pm as we throw a block party centred around the Steveston Museum and Visitor Centre at 3811 Moncton Street! We will be closing down First Avenue between Chatham and Moncton Streets. There will be live music, entertainment and free kids crafts. Food, drinks and merchandise will be available to purchase. From 6:30 pm, unlock Doors Open Richmond 2015 with the official opening of the Japanese Fishermen's Benevolent Society Building on the Steveston Museum site. Then be one of the first to explore the exhibits inside this building telling the stories of the Steveston Japanese Canadian community.

Hats Off Day

Held on the first Saturday of every June, Hats Off Day is when Heights merchants “take their hats off” to their community and their customers, and the entire Heights community celebrates together. It’s a huge, one-day extravaganza featuring a colourful main-street style parade with real local flavour, followed by a big street party.

Converting Plastic Into Fuel: A Solution To Oceanic Plastic Pollution

Join the Vancouver Aquarium for a presentation on converting plastic pollution into fuel. Two innovative organizations, The Ocean Legacy Foundation and Resynergi, LLC, are working together to identify plastic pollution hotspots around the world, send expeditions to those hotspots and then remove the pollution with plastics-to-oil conversion technology. The City and FIFA invite you and your family to join us at the Fan Zone in downtown Vancouver at Larwill Park during the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015TM, June 6 – July 5. This free, family-friendly soccer-celebration destination has been created to welcome the world and share the spirit of the World Cup with Vancouverites and visitors alike. Musical performance by Pacifika at 5pm. The Fan Zone is open: June 6, June 8, June 11, June 12, June 15, June 16, June 21, June 23, June 27, July 1 (Canada Day), July 4, and July 5.

Doors Open Richmond 2015 is Richmond's 8th annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage. Coordinated by the Richmond Museum Society in partnership with the City of Richmond, this free event allows visitors of all ages to explore Richmond's heritage and arts at 44 partner sites across the city, including museums, national historic sites, art galleries, studios and places of worship.

5th annual Vancouver Mini Maker Faire and the 4th at the PNE Forum. Plenty of our Makers will be running free or low-cost activities at their booths, to give attendees the opportunity to learn about and try their hand at new skills.

Free activities on the day include amusement rides, inflatables, games, activities, stage performances and professional entertainment. Visit the face painters and balloon artists, family fitness circuit and more. New this year, we have multiple sports activities on the field and more rides and inflatables than we’ve ever had before! The Marpole youth will be hosting the food concession to help fund youth activities at the centre. In addition, community tables featuring local organizations, community groups and exhibitions will be onsite. Don’t forget to visit our silent auction showcasing local businesses who have provided unique items and gift certificates for you to bid on. Proceeds from the silent auction help support the Marpole Community Day event.

Railtown Tailgate Summer Barbecue Series - $16/$10

On Saturday, June 6 Railtown grillmasters will prove that where there’s smoke there’s fire with the kick-off to the Railtown Tailgate Summer Barbecue Series at Railtown Cafe. New and old friends are invited to come on down for a 'meat and greet' from 4 to 10 p.m, as Chefs and Co-owners Dan Olson and Tyler Day fire up a custom-built, 12-foot smoker/barbecue barrel and dish up plates of slow-smoked brisket and pork shoulder, and beer-brined chicken and sausage for only $16 per person (with a vegetarian option for $10). Shipbuilders' Night Market
Friday Nights 5-10pm - 2015 from May 1st to Sept 25th 
Shipbuilders' Square, 138 Victory Ship Way V7L 0B1 North Vancouver
Food, art, music entertainment and shopping. On the Shipbuilders' Stage there is live music going until 10pm, showcasing talent from all over BC. The Friday Night Market also includes a Beer Garden that features local craft beer and ciders on tap. The Shipyards Night Market showcases BC's artisans, bakers and farmers. Products include; jewelry, clothing, kids wear, bakers, produce, preserves, soaps, organic meats, honey, plants, chocolate and many more must have handmade products.  Don't eat dinner before you come to the Night Market, as there are at least 20 food trucks in "hot food alley" selling unique and delicious locally made food.
